⁵ So David assembled all Israel,^(A) from the Shihor of Egypt to the entrance of Hamath,^[a](B) to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.^{(C) 6} David^(D) and all Israel went to Baalah^(E) (that is, Kiriath-jearim that belongs to Judah) to take the ark of God from there, which is called by the name of the Lord who dwells between the cherubim.^{(F) 7} At Abinadab’s house^(G) they set the ark of God on a new cart. Uzzah and Ahio^[b] were guiding the cart.
